For extraction of pollutants at high and very high temperatures

During specific industrial applications, fumes, dusts or vapours are emitted at high or very high temperatures. The collection and extraction of these contaminants must be accomplished by means of extraction arms and systems capable of withstanding temperatures that vary and may reach up to 300°C, or up to 450° – 650°C.
The INDUSTRY model is available in 125 – 160 – 200 – 250 mm diameters and with a length of 2, 3 and 4 meters; the LABORATORY model extraction arms are available in diameters of 100 and 125 mm and lengths of 1 and 2 meters.

Applications

The extraction arm for High Temperatures 4-PRO (EPU series) for the collection of pollutants with temperature up to 300°C (and in the variants of up to 450°C and 650°C), is particularly suitable within the metallurgical industries during metalworking processes, or in industrial sectors such as aerospace and aviation, automotive, chemical and plastic industry, as well as for specific processing within the agri-food and food industry.

Rotation and handling

Retaining the same structural characteristics of the family of 4-PRO arms (EP SERIES), this extraction arm is equipped with a 360° rotating base, central hinge and hood-side hinge for a total of 3 flexible joints and 3 axes of rotation enabling it to achieve all the working positions.
It can be supplied with or without exhaust fan

Specifications

Extraction arm
The EPU extraction arm, resistant to temperatures of up to 300°C, is made of a rigid galvanized steel pipe, with quad-pantograph self-supporting structure balanced with springs and multiple frictions adjustable on the pivot points. Joints with flexible silicone-coated glass fibre pipes resistant to temperatures ranging between -60°C and 300°C. No component is immersed in the suction flow.
In the variants for temperatures of up to 650°C, the arm is made entirely of stainless steel AISI 316 with multiple adjustable brass frictions and flexible piping for high and very high temperatures.

Hood
Standard “hot fumes” hood in the shape of a truncated cone with large elliptical collection area made of galvanized steel and provided with a handle. With 3 rotation axes to allow optimal movement of the arm in any position.

Basement
Basement on a 360° rotating base plate Dn 200 or 250mm for the industry model (125mm for the LABORATORY model) made of galvanized steel on gaskets in special lubrificated metal alloy.

Wall bracket
As for the Industry model, the wall bracket is a galvanized stainless steel pipe and provided with a multi-diameter fitting and counter-flange; as regards the Laboratory model the wall bracket is a galvanized metal sheet provided with a multi-diameter coupling. The multi-diameter fitting and counter-flange are not included in the version equipped with an exhaust fan.
